Beautiful Day for a Walk

Today was the Have a Chance Walk around downtown Manhattan. The weather couldn't have been more different than last year: sunny and warm!

Team Robb (Gregg, Beteena, Me, Marissa, Carrie, Mike, Annette, Bob, Laurel, Beck and Vanessa):

We had a leisurely 3 mile walk but were reminded of our purpose as we walked amongst brain cancers survivors and the family and friends of others who have lost their fight.

Reason for the Fight Wall:

Thanks to those who gave to support this cause and especially to the Team Robb walkers for being there with us today.

Two Fundraising Events

Next weekend (the 17th), is the annual Have a Chance Walk to Fight Brain Tumors. Last year (see pics below from my previous post), Laurel, Beck, Bob, Annette, some great friends and I walked in horribly miserable weather for this great cause around lower Manhattan. All of the money raised goes to fund brain tumor research. This year, we will walk again with Bob and Annette along with Beteena, and we welcome any friends in the area to join us. http://www.active.com/donate/haveachance2010/teamrobb

And in just over 4 weeks from today, I will run in the NYC marathon with Fred's Team which raises money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering. All of the funds I raise will be directed specifically to brain tumor research. The training has been tough, but I'm proud of and inspired by the cause. And if you're in NY on Sunday November 7th, I hope you'll come out and cheer for me along the route! http://mskcc.convio.net/site/TR/Events/Freds_Team?px=1760921&pg=personal&fr_id=1310

I would appreciate your support in my fundraising efforts for one or both of these events.

Here's a recent picture of the kids....Laurel is now 6 and Beck just turned 3.
